6:15 Web Designer Sara Smith, Sapient Design, will take us through the scenario of how to test or customize themes without wreaking havoc on your live website. She will explain how to migrate a copy of your site to a test server using Backup Buddy, apply a theme, create a child theme, then use Firebug as a tool to tweak and customize the theme’s stylesheet/CSS. Lastly, she’ll show how some themes and frameworks have a space in the admin to put custom CSS and where to put the CSS for ones that don’t.
